默认 anchor rods design

anchor rods design
for anchor rods design in tension & shear , is it sufficient to keep 5d or 4" distance from edge as per aisc design guide-1 or do we need to satisfy conditions as per aci(318-05)- appendix-d "anchorage to concrete" also?
i am having a steel column on pile cap with standard reinforcement in the pile cap.
is that an old aisc dg1? the second edition tha tcame out last year uses aci 318 appendix d provisions.
i'd say you should satisfy appendix d. one thing i've done in the past when i had trouble meeting this, was to provide lots of reinforcement around the rods. this undoubtedly helps with some of the limit states.
yes, follow the aci 318 appendix d. in the "process industry practices" pip ste05121 "anchor bolt design guide" they have examples for cases on which the edge distances are not met in the design and "hairpins" have to be used to provide the required capacity.
you may also follow pci design handbook 6th edition. it is similar to aci appendix d.
