accounting for future concrete columns
hi all
i am designing a concrete building that will have a future storey. i want to account for future splicing rebars. can you advise me on the best way of doing this.
thanks for your input.
use rebar couplers (such as lenton) with internal threads - set flush with the top of the column stubs. the threaded openings can be plugged with plastic caps and the whole column stub covered with roofing.
