默认 ansi 9standards0 code issues - standard for secondary di

ansi standard for secondary di
is there a standard that states where the secondary dimension is to be located in reference to the primary dimension? solidworks only gives the option of having the secondary dimension above or to the right of the primary dimension. as far as i know the secondary is to be below or to the right.
it just doesn’t make sense. if there is a standard (that follows common sense it can quoted and submited as an enhancement.

check out our whitepaper library.
i know this is the ansi forum, but i'm more familiar with mil specs and thought i'd add my insight.
mil-std and dod-std do not allow dual dimensioning on drawing faces. if you need dual dimensions, you add another sheet with the conversions on it. so, whether or not the the secondary dimension is above, below, or after the primary is moot.
since mil-std's are converting to ansi /asme, hopefully someone can enlighten the both of us.
