默认 helix callout on a drawing

helix callout on a drawing
i have a part which has a sloped feature created by sweeping a rectangle through a helix. what is the best way to represent this on the drawing? i was thinking of describing the helix (pitch, radius, etc.) within a note but wondered if there was a better way. any thoughts?
thanks.

i would treat it like a thread.
section it at the centerline and dimension the shape. give the pitch.
we usually dimension spring helixes by pitch and length.
and radius or diameter.
all good comments above. if it matters to the design, you may also want to indicate in an end view the angle between the start and end of the feature.
if it's really complex, with 3d blends or other features that are difficult to define in orthographic views, you could refer to the solid model per asme y14.41. the recommended note is: "this drawing shall be used with model _______ for complete product definition."
