i was recently asked to evaluate dwgdirect library for some work we are doing. naturally the first place to start is to look at the dwgdirect library documentation and the example applications. i have used the open dwg toolkit/viewkit before and found it to be very usefull. however there are a few bug in it, which have been fixed in the dwgdirect library, hence the need to investigate it.
i must say, the documentation that comes with the dwgdirect library is very limited, and in at least one case misleading.
when will a more complete set of documentation be available?

next dwgdirect release (1.13) will contain better documentation.
dwgdirect interface is completely different from c toolkit. it's very close to autocad's objectarx.
