triangulation of concave polygons with holes
triangulation of concave polygons with holes
i have a solid that i want to describe to dwgdirect as a polyfacemesh. my problem is that the polygons making up the solid can contain holes, more edges than 4, and they can also be concave.
hatches don't seem likely to help since they won't preserve the idea of the solid.
i see there is an odgigeometrysimplifier class but i can't make heads or tails of it. it also doesn't appear to handle concave polygons with holes.
writing a triangulation algorithm which neither introduces new vertices nor splits existing edges is complicated enough that i thought i'd check here first.
thanks for any info.
if you can represent the solid as sat (acis) data it's possible to create a oddb3dsolid from it.

thanks sergey, but...
where can i find detailed information about the sat file format?
i located some info but it was pretty stingy with details.
