problem with defpoints layer visibility
problem with defpoints layer visibility
objects on the defpoints layer in an xref drawing are displaying even though the layer is turned off in the host drawing.
i've attached sample files to illustrate the problem.
open hostdrawing.dwg in autocad and you should only see 1 rectangle.
open hostdrawing.dwg in odamfcapp and you will see 2 rectangles. the inner rectangle is on the defpoints layer in the xref drawing.
defpoints is turned off in the host drawing.
thanks for any advice on how to work around this problem.

i do not think autodesk ment to use the defpoints layer that way. that layer is kind of special in autocad. it will not be plotted and if you turn it off in your host file it will be turned off in all reffed files as well.

thanks for the reply but i'm not sure what you are saying.
i know the defpoints layer is special in autocad (especially when it comes to xrefs) but it's not being vectorized the same way in dwgdirect as it is in autocad. is this a bug that will eventually be fixed?
thanks,
chad
