how to get layertable without loading complete database
i am using dwgdirect2.3.0. we want to get the layer table of a very big dxf file. is it possible to do that without loading the complete database.

for a dwg file partial loading can help (parameter of readfile()).
but partial loading is not supported for dxf files. for dxf files full loading is always performed.

a dxf-file a "normal" ascii-file. so load the dxf-reference from autodesk's-website and write your own "layer-parser" by this documentation. you will find the layer-informations in "tables-section.layer".
