you can get linespacingstyle() and linespacingfactor() for mtext. you may calculate distance using this values and text height for some simple case. but mtext is complex entity. spacingstyle and spacingfactor may be changed inside mtext between paragraphs. text height may be changed sometimes inside one line.
look at method "void explodefragments(...)". possible it will be useful for you.
