dwgdirect and use of wchar_t on unix platforms
dwgdirect and use of wchar_t on unix platforms
hello,
in our in-house testing with dwgdirect 2.3.1 (which we抮e currently at), we抳e noticed issues with the use of odstring on unix platforms. the issues arise from the inconsistency of wchar_t between windows and unix: on windows they are 16 bit and on unix they are 32 bit. however, dwgdirect makes certain calls that assume 16 bit wide characters, but that assumption does not hold true on unix and so we get various issues, including hanging apps.
i抳e looked through the release notes for 2.4.1 and 2.4.2 but didn抰 notice that this issue has been fixed. has it been fixed?
best regards,
phil
"various issues" is a bit vague statement. ("certain calls" too)
can you be more explicit please?
vladimir
thanks for your response. i had sent an email to last week about this and he responded today as well so i'll forward the information onto him, and then you can receive it from him.
many thanks,
phil

hello,
in case anyone else reads this thread, i'd like to post an update. the issues we were having existed solely on our own side of things - and now we've fixed them.
i guess i put my foot in my mouth. my apologies.
regards,
phil
