autocad cannot open dxf created xith dwgdirect
hello forum,
i created the attached dxf release 9 with dwgdirect and it cannot be opened by autocad.
what is wrong with this file ?

i have found that dimension entity has gc 2 field empty. autocad don't like such empty value. i'll redirect problem to our dimension engineer.

dimension hasn't block in your attached file. this block is created automatically. possible there is problem with recompute dim block module.

i link my app with dd_vc8md_dummyrecomputedimblock.lib.
if i rather link with dd_vc8md_recomputedimblock.lib, autocad can open my file.
but the values computed by recomputedimblock seem odd !
i think i am going to write the dimension block myself.

you may to write the dimension block but you need to remember what acad will recompute your dimension block in case any property of dimension is changed. dwgdirect creates the same dimension block as acad.
