trapezoidal metric 4 start lead screw thread
i'm trying to work out the correct screw thread specification for a replacement part we need to have made for an old piece of machinery that is no longer supported by the manufacturer. of course, we have no drawings. the lead screw in question is a trapezoidal 16 mm quad start thread with a lead of 16 mm. it has to be a precision ground thread profile. is the following a correct specification?
