changing part configuration in a drawing possible?
i have a part in a drawing (sw 2008) and i have a configuration list for the part. i would like to create a macro that will change the configuration of the part but am having an issue. i know that if you use part.showconfiguration "name" then it will change the configuration but only if you are in an assembly or editing the part. that command will not change the configuration while you are working in a drawing. i have already tried recording the macro with no luck. does anyone have any suggestions or maybe know a reference website with all the vba functions for a part?

try looking at view::referencedconfiguration. i think it is what you are looking for.
