change configuration using excel
my api is very limited so maybe someone can help me out. is there a way to change configurations using api and an excel spreadsheet? i have an excel spreadsheet with column a = part numbers and column b = description of each part number. i would like to be able open a part with configurations already established (configurations names = part numbers) and run a macro that allows me to select from a dropdown list of descriptions from the spreadsheet. when i select ok it changes to that particular configuration. any help would be appreciated.

well, i found a way to change configurations with just using a macro. does anyone know how to autorun a macro? have it run whenever i open the part file?
