cannot browse recent documents
today is not our day. this 2009 upgrade is hurting.
2009 x64 sp1.0
whenever any of us goes "file-browse recent documents".. system locks up. happens to every pc i have tried it on.

eng-tips forums is member supported.
completely locks up, or just for 30 seconds or so?
^ odd. i just pressed the "r" key, 10 second pause, then thumbnails of recent documents came up. no lock up.
if i do it the other way, it locks up for good. i waited 15 mins and nothing so i have to reboot everytime i try it haha.
did a clean install.
installed from image first, had many problems, deleted sw09 from everyones pc, then reinstalled using dvd.
mcafee is on and i cannot turn it off.
if i were you, and if you have the choice ... dump mcafee.
it's supposed to be ok for solidworks (with the noted exception at
use something simple like avast for anti-virus. mcafee is far too intrusive (in my experience) for business use.

i have no say in what antivirus we have.
i wish.....

whoops. happens when i press control tab also. locks it up for 15 mins or so.
i will show this thread to our computer department for the registry thing. think that's it?
i am not getting into the registry of all these computers.
