projected area?
is there a way within the api to obtain the overall projected area of a part in the three basic xyz directions? i tried running through all the faces and calling convertentities on each one to project them onto a sketch plane but that doesn't seem to work.
wayne tiffanny made a boundingbox macro that does what i think you are after.
google "wayne tiffany boundingbox" and you should find it.
