rebar yield strength from 1952
i have a building that i am reviewing that has a reinforced one-way slab spanning to structural steel beams that was built in 1952. i am trying to get a feel for the floor live load capacity. in preparing to complete the analysis, i relized that i do not have the rebar yield strength. what was the most common yield strength of rebar in 1952? i am thinking 40ksi.
