that's from the texas state rules, check in your own state and see if they say in the rules.
the first time i cashed a check with that on it the teller asked how gym class went today.
structuraled, what did you tell him/her? lol
i explained her error, at which point she said they wouldn't cash business checks through my personal account.
in the end the joke was on me!

in 2002, my credit union would not allow me to open a business account so i went to a local bank.

search the texas rules, and you'll also find "pe" sans periods.
