nonlinear push-over analysis (software/reading)
is nonlinear sap200 (v.8 2004) a good software for doing nonlinear push-over analysis for rc moment frame bldgs?
i know that this version has the capability of doing this analysis. is there anybody out there who has done this analysis with sap and is there any suggestion/encountered difficulty?
i am quite familiar with sap but it's the first time that i am going to perform such an analysis. do you have any suggested reading material regarding push-over analysis on the web?

let me first say that i have not done a nonlinear pushover.
that said, it is an interest of mine and i think ductile design of steel structures is a decent book on the subject. as far as what software to use, i know that sap and its ability to create plastic hinges is ideal for such purpose and is often used for pushover analysis. i suppose your version of sap may save you some work since it includes geometric nonlinearity, but regular sap would be fine as well.
