can anyone tell me if stair handrails in an industrial building have to meet ada code? does the handrail need to have the 1 tread extention beyond the last tread and the 12" horizontal projection. the horizontal projection is the piece that seems out of the ordinary.

i just had to meet the ada and nfpa requirements on this type of bldg. for stairs. contact your local building official to be certain.
