fema-350 buep plate thickness
i'm calculating the thickness of a steel plate at the connection between a column and beam in a smf which is classified as a bolted unstiffened end plate (buep) connection. on page 3-47 of fema-350 they give an equation for plate thickness. in that equation i need to know "g". it says "g = is the bolt gage as defined in figure 3-14" this doesn't make much since to me...i don't see any definition for "g" in fig. 3-14.
can anyone help me?

gage is the horizontal distance between the bolts.
