brickwalls on two way slabs

brickwalls on two way slabs
can anyone help me to convert loading from a brickwall ( say 9") running over almost the entire length of a two way slab 20 ft x 15 ft, to an equivalent udl?
the formulas found in bs code and australian code are for one way slabs only.
check out our whitepaper library.
the only way i know how to do this without a finite element package is by strip method (or equivalent frame maybe) apply as a point load in the direction perpendicular to the wall and as a continuous udl in the one strip under and parallel to the wall.
if the slab has continuous support on all 4 sides, then we used to divide this load over 2m(6feet) and then apply this pressure over the entire slab. i dont know what the scientific basis was to this but it seemed to work.
clause 5.1.4 of bs 6399: part 1 states that you can apply one third of the line load at the base of the partition as a vertical udl to floors to deal with partition loads, with a minimum value of 1kn/m2.
this gives you your charecteristic live load for partitions which will need to be factored as appropriate for ultimate design.
