brick veneer as support for exterior canopy roof
 

brick veneer as support for exterior canopy roof?
does anyone has a reference or know that a brick veneer wall can be used to support an 8ft wide exterior canopy roof? the backing of the brick veneer is 12" cmu. there is 2" space between them. i would like to anchor angles @ 24" o.c. to support the small roof trusses. anyone has any suggestions, against or comments?
(the canopy roof is supported at each end, i.e. simply supported condition - not cantilevering)
