i am looking for more definitive criteria for applying the test of "flowing water from the structure" and "dry hand test" as described in aci 350.1r-93, paragraph 3.4.2. is there a different standand for buried tank as opposed to expose tanks, and why? is the "dry hand test" for flowing water from cracks, or is it a test for permeability of concrete not experiencing visible cracks? i am looking for industry standards for applying these tests to both buried and exposed water containing structures at a wastewater treatment plant.
