i am trying to find data on electropolished steels (emissivity, etc.) can anybody please point me to a proper resource page?

are you expected the emissivity to be radically different than the 0.11 given in the table?

no, i do not. this number is as good as any other, huh? at least a reference number. i appreciate the help.
that value seems pretty consistent with the value for polished nickel at 0.07.
even polished aluminum is listed at 0.04 to 0.06.
