europe std materials to us convertion.
can somebody tell me where can i find a convertion chart for europe materials standards to american, for tool steel, crs, aluminum. as an example a foreing code 40crmn08 = to 4340 english equivalent or c35e = to 1018/1140 crs.

c35e is not equivalent to sae 1018 nor sae 1140. it is equivalent to sae 1035. regarding conversions among various standards, this has been discussed a number of times on this site. check out the following thread:
