where on a drawing do you attach the arrow head for a spot weld symbol? any other weld you would attach it to an edge but with a spot weld there isn't an edge to attach to. if someone has an example that they can post i would appreciate it. find a job or post a job opening you can add a point. chris systems analyst, i.s. solidworks 06 4.1/pdmworks 06 autocad 06 most automotive manufacturers in europe show a cross (x) in the true position with an attached note regarding the standard required. ajack, you wouldn't by any chance have a drawing you could post would you? i've also used an "x" to locate spot welds (the same symbol used to locate datum points). here is a useful link i've posted before regarding weld symbols. check fig 3-8 good link heckler! promoting, selling, recruiting and student posting are not allowed in the forums.
