i was testing my code using the campus.dwg (as supplied with autocad 2000) sample file. this has some polygon meshes (simple mesh type), but the vertices claim to be control points (i.e. vertextype() returns k3dcontrolvertex). looking at the dxf file, or using the "old" opendwg library shows them to be normal vertices, and in any case presumably i shouldn't get control points for a simple mesh.

the file is rather large. could you point to mesh & vertex you have problem with (their handle values)? i'll try to look into it.

i'm no longer able to reproduce the problem. sorry for reporting what looks like a non-existant problem.
