odamfcapp wont read dwg file
odamfcapp wont read dwg file
i am using odamfcapp version 1.0, based on
open design alliance inc.
dwgdirect ver 1.13
and cannot read the attached files.
i have the same problem with my own applications.
any ideas?

if odamfcapp refuses to open the file the first idea is to try recover.
the second is to open the file with autocad (with both open and recover).
both dwgdirect's and autocad's recover report errors in your files....

thank you for the advice. i don't have the latest autocad here, but was checking the files using an application called edrawings which doesn't report errors.
i feel it is perfectly acceptable that dwgdirect reports errors, if autocad does.
i think edrawings should at least give a warning if there is a potentail probelm with the files.

i think where is no application which reports all possible defects in file. even autocad may open a file without reporting problems but crash in recover or in some editing operation or saving this drawing back to file.
