need some reccomendations

since there is no tutorial i can find. i've compiled and made a few changed to one of the example for writing a .dwg. i have no experience with autocad but i have @ 30 years experience with cad systems relade to the semiconductor industry. my programming expertise is in c and perl. i know enough c++ to get by.
ive found this book on amazon.com

will this be of much benefit for using the oda c++ libraries.
i've been looking at odwriteex example, but there is a lot i'm not following.
it won抰 hurt, you can also have a look at this
the syntax is a little different, but it抯 not too hard to translate.
are you making drx plug-ins for a cad program?
