monotxt.shx and monotxt8.shx
monotxt.shx and monotxt8.shx hi, when i make a dxf/dwg file with dwgdirect using monotxt.shx as font of a text style (dxf 3), autocad opens the file and substitutes monotxt.shx with simplex.shx. when i specify monotxt8.shx, autocad respects the font. when i make a dxf/dwg file with autocad using monotxt.shx, i read in dxf 3 exactly the same string monotxt.shx, and it works well. so apparently there are no meaningful differences, but there is a problem with files made with dwgdirect. probably i'm doing something wrong, but where? ciao marco attached files both your files are rendered by acad and odamfcapp with accordingly with text style (monotxt.shx and monotxt8.shx) for me. autocad may substitute font if it is mapped or not found (see acad options.. dialog). best regards, sergey z. ok, now i'm able to see the right font. it seems a bug of autocad: if i create a file with dwgdirect by calling the method setfont with "monotxt" as typeface instead of calling setfilename with "monotxt.shx" as file name, then autocad stops to find some fonts. after quit and restart, everything is ok. a little question: is it needed to set a font file name even when i set a truetype typeface? ciao marco quote: originally posted by marco.botton a little question: is it needed to set a font file name even when i set a truetype typeface? ciao marco no! call setfont() is anought. warning acad doesn't allow use big font with true type font. best regards, sergey z. |
