hi,
i'm another newbie to odwg and dwgdirect, i'm finding starting out quite easy with the dwgdirect libraries and am testing some bits and bobs out with the viewer sample application to see whats possible.
i am particularly interested making one of our entities (normally derived from acdbrasterimage and using a derived acdbrasterimagedef object) viewable in the window.
i use the image engine of autocad via ieimg and iedib classes to generate the necessary image, as i have all the dib information at time of load, how can i generate the image for display in the odamfcapplib example program?

what's the purpose of creating your own custom entity derived from acdbrasterimage and custom object derived from acdbrasterimagedef? raster data is stored in some special way?

yes we store extra data which is encrypted to deternine which image to display.

odamfcapp contains sample code for custom object (examplecustobject.h * cpp)
probably it would be enough to make only custom object derived from oddbrasterimagedef.
you have to override
odgirasterimageptr oddbrasterimagedef::image().
it should return smart pointer to your implementation of odgirasterimage interface (see exgirasterimage from exservices folder for sample implementation)
