hello,
i've a few questions:
1. are dwgdirect libraries compiled with the "treat enum as ints" compiler option switched on ?
2. does dwgdirect change the 80x87 exception mask and rounding mode?
i found that many exceptions are due of dwgdirect expects enums to be 32bit wide. for example the
odcodepageid odexsystemservices::systemcodepage() const;
returns the code page id in al register but dwgdirect expects it on eax (that is ah and high word of eax must be zero). this yelds in dwgdirect failing to write dxf files (access violation while translating the codepage id to a string id, i.e. 30 -> ansi_1252).
it seems that the known issues (zero length files) about the oddbdatabase::writefile( ) call are realted to enums being passed as single bytes while dwgdirect expects them as full 32bit values with high bits zeroed.
any chance to see enums replaced by #defines or consts definition on next release? i think it can solve many compatibility problems.
