dimtih, dimtoh and dimtolj description
dimtih, dimtoh and dimtolj description hi, while trying to understand variables defined in dimvardefs.h, i couldn't understand dimtih, dimtoh and dimtolj variables. the comment in document for these variables is duplicates( same as description of dimtih). which tolerance property is being controlled by dimtoh and dimtolj? and what are enumerated values for dimtolj? thx. dimtih - controls the position of dimension text inside the extension lines for all dimension types except ordinate. dimtoh - controls the position of dimension text outside the extension lines. off - aligns text with the dimension line on - draws text horizontally for example: dimension text is outside extension lines. dimtoh is on. text is horizontal independently from dimension line. dimtolj - sets the vertical justification for tolerance values relative to the nominal dimension text. this system variable has no effect unless dimtol is set to on. the default for dimtol is off. 0 - bottom 1 - middle 2 - top this variable determines relative position of text(measurement) and tolerance in dimension text. it no take effect for tolerance entity. best regards, sergey z. dimtsz having no effect on arrowheads hi sergey, thank you very much for description of dimt variables. i am trying to change arrowheads to tics and i am using dimtsz variable for the purpose. but no matter what value i change dimtsz variable it still shows arrowheads. i have tried to change value with 1.0, 10.0, 100.0and on linear and radial dimensions. is there any other variable that needs to be set in conjunction with dimtsz or this is a known bug? thx. quote: originally posted by jaisam i am trying to change arrowheads to tics and i am using dimtsz variable for the purpose. but no matter what value i change dimtsz variable it still shows arrowheads. "dimtsz - specifies the size of oblique strokes drawn instead of arrowheads for linear, radius, and diameter dimensioning. 0 - draws arrowheads. >0 - draws oblique strokes instead of arrowheads. the size of the oblique strokes is determined by this value multiplied by the dimscale value." use dimasz to change size arrowhead. "dimasz - controls the size of dimension line and leader line arrowheads. also controls the size of hook lines. multiples of the arrowhead size determine whether dimension lines and text should fit between the extension lines. dimasz is also used to scale arrowhead blocks if set by dimblk. dimasz has no effect when dimtsz is other than zero." note: support dimtsz in recompute dimension will be added in next version dwgdirect. best regards, sergey z. quote: originally posted by sergey z. "dimtsz - specifies the size of oblique strokes drawn instead of arrowheads for linear, radius, and diameter dimensioning. 0 - draws arrowheads. >0 - draws oblique strokes instead of arrowheads. the size of the oblique strokes is determined by this value multiplied by the dimscale value." so if i follow these steps i should see oblique strokes: 1. set my dimscale variable to 1.0 2. set my dimtsz variable to 20.0 3. issue recompute dimension and refresh my device. but i am not able to see oblique strokes, it shows me arrowheads. anyway to fix this problem? also while using dimension (oddbrotateddimension, oddbordinatedimension), the dimension entity always refers to wcs x and y axis for measurement values. is there any way to refer to other axis, for example current ucs axis. or any way to change ocs x,y axis of the dimension entity? thx. last edited by sjaiswal@hachisoft.com; 9th june 2006 at 05:22 pmfff">. quote: originally posted by jaisam but i am not able to see oblique strokes, it shows me arrowheads. anyway to fix this problem? it will be available in next dwgdirect release (see post above). quote: also while using dimension (oddbrotateddimension, oddbordinatedimension), the dimension entity always refers to wcs x and y axis for measurement values. is there any way to refer to other axis, for example current ucs axis. or any way to change ocs x,y axis of the dimension entity? thx. you can use method transformby(const odgematrix3d& xform) for dimension. best regards, sergey z. |
