bad tessellation of 3d solid
bad tessellation of 3d solid hi i haven't had any problems with 3d solids to mesh conversion since may 2004. however, today i got this tiny model which uses 3d solids and it produces a bad tessellation. the edge faces produce a half dozen thin triangles and they don't meet up with the top/bottom faces. doing the conversion via .sat from autocad and my ptc granite .sat importer produces a much nicer and uniform tessellation. attached files hi, i have added it to our bugs, but you can fix it by decreasing normal tolerance value, for example to 1. (it is 15. by default). decreasing normal tolerance value will appreciably increase draw time for complex drawing. |
