i am trying to read a dwg file using the sample application odreadexdll, and the file is know to contain an entity type called "aeccdbcontour". the application odreadexdll halts with the message "the application has failed to start because aecgeometry_2.o5_6.dll was not found. re-installing the application may fix this problem. the problem is, i've searched my system for anything called aecgeometry* and i cannot find this dll (or drx file). any suggestions?

aecgeometry_2.05_6.dll is required by some adt/c3ddirect drx.
it can be aecbase_2.05_6.drx or some other drx with aec* name.
if you have such drx files in your odreadexdll directory and you don't have aecgeometry_2.05_6.dll, you'll get such errors.
possible solutions:
a. getting a complete adtdirect package with aecgeometry.
b. removing the incomplete adtdirect (all aec*.drx files).
as regards the aeccdbcontour entity, it is from landdesktop and it is not currently supported by adtdirect/c3ddirect. so there is probably some other aec content in the file.
