note deciphering
i am posting here as i am not sure what other forum to place this in. i have a drawing of a 1080 gallon tank, working pressure of 200psig, listed as a vertical air tank. there are two flanged openings, and i have never worked with flanged openings before. there is a note pointing to one of the openings that reads: 6"-150# r.f.s.o. flg. w/sch. 80 pipe x 7 5/8"lg. what do letters in greenfff"> mean? "art without engineering is dreaming; engineering without art is calculating." it means "i don't want anyone to be able to read these letters on a purple background..." i believe it means raised-face slip on (a specific type of flange). anyone, please correct me if i'm wrong... i'm not a flange expert. a vendor of rfso flanges: yes, rfso raised-face slip on. i would leave the periods off. chris solidworks/pdmworks 08 3.1 autocad 06/08 i think there's a pressure vessel forum or similar, may have someone who knows for sure. kenat, probably the least qualified checker you'll ever meet... vc66, that makes good sense, thank youfff">. "art without engineering is dreaming; engineering without art is calculating." no problem! i've belonged to these boards for about 9 months now, and you're the first person i've helped! v |
