material specification in italian drawings?
we are handling an enquiry from an italian company for sourcing some machined components. has anybody ever come across the specification 'avp' for the material?
has anyone ever come across such a designation?

never heard of it but a quick google search for avp materialfff"> found "acciao ad afff">lta vfff">elocità al pfff">iombo" which translates to "free-cutting leaded steel".

a couple of drawings have 9smnpb28 (equivalent to sae12l14), which is also a free cutting leaded steel .
