can anyone answer what does it mean termin  'test unit'  in  sertificate 3.1.b meantioned in en 10204?

does en 10204.3.1.b applies to anything else than metallurgical certificates such as catalyst or aluminas?
the "test unit" is the number or tonnage of products to be accepted or rejected together on the basis of the results of sample tests.  although principally aimed at metallic materials, it is feasible to apply iso 10474/en 10204 to almost anything.
