uk budget prices for steel
anyone know the general estimating price per tonne for uk steel with simple connections.
i have 150uc struts about 6m long which are galvanised and have pinned connections each end.
check out our whitepaper library.
this can be a tricky one.  my first port of call for accurate information would be an up to date spons guide in accordance with smm7.

yes i am having problems dowloading the bcis index as the website doesnt seem to be working. i will base my budget pice on ￡1800 per tonne as it is a small job outside london.
even if the website was working, you need to be a   
if you've got an email address i can send the berr indices to march 2009, are they of use?

i have used 1800 as a good rough figure for cost comprison.
