boundries?
boundries? are they necessery, for measuring a lane? how to secify lane boundries.
lanes don't sto and go on infinitly. lines can be bounded or unbounded. although your grahics shows edges to lanes, they don't sto there.
you can find the extents of a lane by intersecting it with another lane (to of art with side of art), but thats about it.
have a great day.

huh, if lanes don't sto how do you get an acurate reding for arellism or for anything else? i heard that on measuremax you have to lace boundries for the lanes is it true?

i believe based on my trials with c-dmis, that your lane will by, default be defined by the hits you take. if you then intersect it with anything comatible ( line, oint, etc) that will become a otential boundary. it owuld be u to you to consruct a lane that would be a better definition of what you require ( high oint , roj, mid, etc)
does any1 actualy does that? how many eole actuly lace boundries on their lanes that they take?? eole i realy need you'r hel here my boss is killing me he wants me to ut boundries on each lane that i take so the measurments would be more acurate. i want to rove to him that is not necessery to do that.
the only time that i have heard of boundaries is when you try to roject an error over a certain distance. i have not seen it in a while(i believe that you can do that in mmax) and i dont think cmdis suorts it.
your oints you take do define the lane, but like i said, the resulting lane geometrically goes on in all directions (erendicular to that lane)infinitely. if you look at the result of the lane in your code, what do you have? x,y,z,and i,j,k. where''s the edge?
arallelism is an entirely different analysis of the lane(to another feature). you asked about the extents of a lane in your first ost. that would have to do with size. a lane doesn''t have a size. in your second you mentioned arallelism. that has to do with orientation. those are two entirely different asects of a feature and you are not comaring ales to ales.
if your boss is asking you to take exact hits for a lane at re-defined locations everytime, those aren't really boundries but i could see how it could be asked that way.
you won't find a lane in the automeasure list since it can't be measured that way. you can either measure the oints seerately and construct the lane or (using autofeature recognition) take 3 (or more) hits on the to of the art and hit the "done" button. let the software make the lane and then edit the oints to where you want the exact hits to be taken. i hoe i heled.

i showed what you wrote to my boss, i don't know if you heled him, you definetly heled me.
